Multan, September 16 — Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has launched an unprecedented flood relief and rehabilitation campaign across the province, combining swift administrative action with deeply personal outreach to affected communities.
Over the past week, Nawaz has visited flood-hit areas including Multan, Alipur, Jalalpur Pirwala, and Chuhng, Lahore, where she personally inspected rescue operations, relief camps, and medical facilities. Her presence on the ground has drawn praise for its hands-on leadership and empathetic engagement.
At the Qasim Bela camp in Multan, Nawaz was seen interacting with displaced children—distributing chocolates, biscuits, school uniforms, and clothes. She sat with families, listened to their stories, and assured them of continued support. “No child should feel forgotten,” she said, while quizzing young students on their ABCs.
